Flavors of Alentejo – Wine & Tasting Experience
Private tour, 5 hours:
We depart from the Algarve towards the Alentejo, a region of vast plains, vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see and a relaxed pace of life, where tradition, gastronomy and wine play a central role in the local identity.
Our first stop is Adega Santa Vitória, located in the heart of the Lower Alentejo and one of the region’s most prestigious wineries. With hundreds of hectares of carefully cultivated vineyards, this estate combines traditional winemaking methods with modern production technology, resulting in wines of outstanding quality and character.
During the guided visit, you will have the opportunity to discover the entire winemaking process, culminating in a guided tasting of five single-varietal wines: Antão Vaz, Sauvignon Blanc, Verdelho, Touriga Nacional and Syrah. The tasting is accompanied by typical Alentejo delicacies, including a basket of bread, olives, Santa Vitória olive oil and a selection of regional cheeses and cured meats.
After the tasting, we visit the winery shop, where you may purchase the wines and products tasted, allowing you to take home the authentic flavours of the Alentejo.
The tour concludes with an à la carte lunch, featuring a set menu (starter, main course and dessert), served in a well-known hotel in the region, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. (Drinks not included).
